Speaking on Amazon Prime Video this weekend, Thierry Henry, who works as a pundit with the outlet, gave his thoughts on Montpellier’s Téji Savanier (30).
“I like him a lot. He’s extraordinary. He keeps up with the tempo of the game, he does everything there is to do. Sometimes, yes you have to play to the crowd, and we’ve all done it, but he respects the game and that’s really important,” said the former World Cup winner.
Henry continued to discuss the possibility of his inclusion into the national team, which Savanier himself has recently discussed with Amazon Prime Video. “Didier Deschamps has so many options with the French team, so much choice. It’s the richness of French football. A dream will always remain a dream while there is a possibility and it’s up to him to go and make it happen, but there are players ahead of him.”
The 30-year-old, who won Ligue 1 Player of the Month for December 2021, is yet to receive a call up with Les Bleus.
