A major injury boost has emerged over Rangers central midfielder Ryan Jack…
What’s the latest?
Gio van Bronckhorst has confirmed that the Scotland international is scheduled to be back fit and available a week on from him suffering the knock.
Jack picked up an injury in the 5-0 win over Hearts in the Premiership and missed the clashes with Hibernian and Annan Athletic in the subsequent seven days.
The Dutch head coach told the club’s official Twitter account: “Ryan (Jack) will return to training this weekend.”

buzzing
Rangers fans will surely be left buzzing by this news as it proves that he has not suffered a long-term injury, with supporters potentially worried about how serious the blow was for Jack due to his problems over the years.
Since the start of the 2017/18 campaign, he has had 14 separate injury issues at Rangers. He has missed 14 or more matches in four of those injuries, whilst missing four or more in eight of then. This shows that he has been unreliable with his availability in recent years and this is why fans may have been concerned that he would be out for an extended period of time.
Instead, he is set to make a comeback this weekend after one week out with his knock. With Rangers playing away at Annan on Saturday, Jack’s return to training could come today (13/02/22) and that could put him in contention to face Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday after sitting on the sidelines for the last two matches .
Fans will be buzzing as he is capable of being a big player for the Gers on his day, given what he has shown for the club in the past. Last season in the Premiership, he averaged a SofaScore rating of 7.14 as he averaged 2.2 tackles and interceptions per game whilst also completing 90% of his passes.
This shows that he is able to deliver consistently brilliant performances in the Scottish top-flight when he is available to start a run of matches. Therefore, the Gers could be getting a major boost by his return this week if he is able to now keep himself fit and enjoy a succession of appearances in the side without picking up a long-term blow, as he has proven his quality when he is able to get out on the pitch.
