Luka Jovic is not willing to join Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Gunners have been frustrated in their search for a new striker this month as their top target, Dusan Vlahovic, is now on the verge of joining Juventus from Fiorentina.
Arsenal had submitted a bid of £50 million plus Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina, but Juventus have now launched their own offer and the striker’s preference is a move to Turin.
Mikel Arteta is also keen on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak but the Sweden international, who has scored 30 goals in 89 La Liga appearances, wants to see out the rest of the season in Spain.
Reports this week have claimed that Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Jovic on loan for the rest of the campaign.
But according to AFP and Sky Germany, Jovic has no plans to leave Madrid during the January window.
Marca also report that Madrid also want the 24-year-old to stay with them, even though he is yet to start a game in La Liga this season.

Arteta has made it clear that he wants Arsenal’s hierarchy to strengthen his squad this month but the Gunners are yet to complete a signing.
‘The team are working extremely hard to get the players that we want and we have no news to give you,’ Arteta said last week.
‘We have a plan to try to bring players in and try to get the players we want with the right qualities and improve the squad in the best possible way every single window.’
The Gunners also remain in talks to sign Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus, but the Serie A club are not willing to let the Brazilian midfielder leave until a replacement is found.
