Former Lyon manager and current FFF Technical Director Hubert Fournier has emerged as a favorite to undertake the same role at Borussia Mönchengladbach following the departure of Max Eberl, according to IMAGE.
Instead of appointing a straight replacement for Eberl, per the report, the responsibility will be spread across several roles at the Bundesliga club and so there will be no longer be a sole responsibility for the sporting aspects at Gladbach.
Fournier (54) played as a central defender for Die Fohlen between 1996 and 1998 and was the first Frenchman to wear the colors of Gladbach.
