Parallel Parking - The Right Distances Here's a video on how to judge your distances when parking in parallel (curb parking). For any info: My website: www.conduitefacile.com Gmail: conduitefacilevideos@gmail.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/conduitefacilevideos/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ConduiteFacile Watch my video “How To: Easy Parallel Parking” by clicking the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HNBUQ6oE6A And “Parallel Parking: Aligning Yourself Properly” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpo6fcaWfC4 Note: Laws, rules and requirements may be different where you are doing your exam. Always follow laws/rules/requirements that apply to where you are driving if they differ from the ones shown here. Also, the size of vehicles vary a lot, so you might have to make some adjustments depending on the size of your vehicle and the vehicle you're parking next to. Always do your verifications to make sure you're not getting too close to the other vehicles, people that might be passing by or any other obstacles before each maneuver. In this video I give as a reference the distance of someone standing between the two cars. It is only intended as an imaginary distance. Do not try this with someone in real life, it can be dangerous.

One of the great things about long distance trips is the Freedom you feel once you get on the road. However being prepared and setting up systems is a critical component of any long distance trip. 1. Get prepared the day/night before, all you should be doing when you wake up is attaching your gear to your bike and getting fuel in your body 2. Luggage should be evenly distributed by weight and importance. After a few days riding you will know exactly where everything is and give rise to importance by use. 3. Make sure all electronics are charged night before, downloading maps, GPS setup etc 4. Leave at sunrise, as early as possible. Getting on the road as the sun comes up is paramount and gives for some stunning moments. 5. Get a daily reminder on Google Keep before you go, a little checklist. Get a physical road map for each country. 6. Ride patient, get consistent with your distances, shit happens, and you need time to react. 7. Be conservative with your distances to travel each day, roads are different, some you can do 1000ks in a day - Google Maps is usually pretty accurate as for distances and times after you take breaks. 8. Fuels stops and breaks, keep them separate. You want to stop at scenic points. 9. Food and Water supplies to make sure you have the energy for when you need it. 10. Driving through villages and small towns, being respectful, topes, speed bumps and more.

How Large is the Universe?

The universe has long captivated us with its immense scales of distance and time. How far does it stretch? Where does it end, and what lies beyond its star fields and streams of galaxies extending as far as telescopes can see? These questions are beginning to yield to a series of extraordinary new lines of investigation and technologies that are letting us to peer into the most distant realms of the cosmos. But also at the behavior of matter and energy on the smallest of scales. Remarkably, our growing understanding of this kingdom of the ultra-tiny, inside the nuclei of atoms, permits us to glimpse the largest vistas of space and time. In ancient times, most observers saw the stars as a sphere surrounding the earth, often the home of deities. The Greeks were the first to see celestial events as phenomena, subject to human investigation rather than the fickle whims of the Gods. One sky-watcher, for example, suggested that meteors are made of materials found on Earth... and might have even come from the Earth. Those early astronomers built the foundations of modern science. But they would be shocked to see the discoveries made by their counterparts today. The stars and planets that once harbored the gods are now seen as infinitesimal parts of a vast scaffolding of matter and energy extending far out into space. Just how far began to emerge in the 1920s. Working at the huge new 100-inch Hooker Telescope on California's Mt. Wilson, astronomer Edwin Hubble, along with his assistant named Milt Humason, analyzed the light of fuzzy patches of sky... known then as nebulae. They showed that these were actually distant galaxies far beyond our own. Hubble and Humason discovered that most of them are moving away from us. The farther out they looked, the faster they were receding. This fact, now known as Hubble's law, suggests that there must have been a time when the matter in all these galaxies was together in one place. That time, when our universe sprung forth, has come to be called the Big Bang. How large the cosmos has gotten since then depends on how long its been growing and its expansion rate. Recent precision measurements gathered by the Hubble space telescope and other instruments have brought a consensus... That the universe dates back 13.7 billion years. Its radius, then, is the distance a beam of light would have traveled in that time ... 13.7 billion light years. That works out to about 1.3 quadrillion kilometers. In fact, it's even bigger.... Much bigger. How it got so large, so fast, was until recently a deep mystery. That the universe could expand had been predicted back in 1917 by Albert Einstein, except that Einstein himself didn't believe it until he saw Hubble and Humason's evidence. Einstein's general theory of relativity suggested that galaxies could be moving apart because space itself is expanding. So when a photon gets blasted out from a distant star, it moves through a cosmic landscape that is getting larger and larger, increasing the distance it must travel to reach us. In 1995, the orbiting telescope named for Edwin Hubble began to take the measure of the universe... by looking for the most distant galaxies it could see. Taking the expansion of the universe into account, the space telescope found galaxies that are now almost 46 billion light years away from us in each direction... and almost 92 billion light years from each other. And that would be the whole universe... according to a straightforward model of the big bang. But remarkably, that might be a mere speck within the universe as a whole, according to a dramatic new theory that describes the origins of the cosmos.

Here are 10 spacecraft that have traveled extraordinary distances in the name of discovery. The exploration of space has yielded many amazing and unexpected finds, and much of the credit goes to the vessels sent to the far reaches of the solar system and beyond. Here are 10 spacecraft that have traveled extraordinary distances in the name of discovery. Number 10. Mariner 4. This NASA craft was a Mars exploration superstar decades before rovers started roaming the Red Planet. During a 1965 flyby it captured the very first close-ups of the planet’s surface.  Number 9. Rosetta. As if travelling to a distant, celestial body isn’t challenging enough, this one actually chased down a comet. Catching up with the speeding space rock took over a decade, but the ESA probe is now hanging out comfortably in its orbit.  Number 8. Juno. Though launched back in 2011, Juno has a year to go before reaching Jupiter. There’ll be no time to rest upon arrival, as NASA has big plans. Those include circling the gas giant more than 30 times. Number 7. Galileo. This craft visited Jupiter and its moons back in mid 1990s. Using solar panels to harness and distribute energy wasn’t an option back then, so once it entered the Jovian system, Galileo was powered by plutonium. Number 6. Cassini. The probe is certainly a foremost expert on the topic of Saturn. Cassini completed its first 4-year mission in 2008 and, still up to the demands of exploration, embarked upon 2 more. Over the many years, the craft has gathered immense amounts of valuable information about the planet’s rings, moons, and environment.  Number 5. New Horizons. A countless number of mishaps can happen on a roughly decade long, 3 billion mile journey but the NASA explorer managed to hold it together. Upon performing the recent close pass of Pluto, New Horizons gathered so many pictures and readings it’s going to take 16 months to send all the information to EarthNumber 4. Pioneer 11. Launched in 1973, the probe made it all the way the asteroid belt, whizzing by Jupiter and Saturn as well. What, if anything, Pioneer 11 has been up to lately is unknown, as NASA lost contact in 1995.  Number 3. Pioneer 10. The craft was not only the first to encounter the asteroid belt but also went down in history for the unprecedented achievement of reaching solar system escape velocity. The transmitter on board finally lost power in 2003. At that point the probe was about 7-and-a-half billion miles from Earth.  Number 2. Voyager 2. The long-time explorer was sent into space in 1977 and is still out there. At present, it’s about 10 billion miles from home. Number 1. Voyager 1. Launched shortly after Voyager 2, this Energizer Bunny of spacecraft remains on the move as well. In 38 years of travel it has rocketed past Jupiter and Saturn and entered interstellar space in 2012. At present, Voyager 1’s retirement is planned for 2025.  Which space mission do you think is most extraordinary?
